Residential Elevator Shaft Framing and Structural Construction in Oak Island

• The project required us to frame a multi-story vertical chase, which involved significant structural modifications to existing floor joists and wall assemblies.
• To ensure maximum stability, we utilized Microllam LVL beams and reinforced metal connectors throughout the framing process.
• Fiberglass batt insulation was installed within the cavities for thermal and acoustic performance.

We completed the construction of a custom interior elevator shaft for a residential property in Oak Island. The project required us to frame a multi-story vertical chase, which involved significant structural modifications to existing floor joists and wall assemblies. Our team also handled the necessary rerouting of PEX plumbing lines and electrical circuitry to clear the path for the new lift system. To ensure maximum stability, we utilized Microllam LVL beams and reinforced metal connectors throughout the framing process. Fiberglass batt insulation was installed within the cavities for thermal and acoustic performance. We finished the surrounding area by installing a five-panel interior door and matching hardware to ensure the new addition blended with the home's coastal interior.
