Two ways to finance qualifying work

RGR is your contractor. Financing comes from the applicable third-party financing provider or lender, which determines eligibility, approval and final terms.

General project financing

Wisetack

Flexible financing for RGR home improvement projects

Wisetack lets qualifying customers review payment options for eligible work and pay over time. Checking eligibility does not affect your credit score.

Check without credit-score impact
Eligibility checks use a soft inquiry. Accepting financing and repayment behavior can affect credit.
Flexible payment options
Eligible customers can review the choices offered by Wisetack’s participating lender.
No prepayment penalty
Wisetack’s current consumer guidance allows early repayment without a prepayment fee.
A range of project types
Ask RGR about eligible roofing, repair, remodeling and construction work.

All financing is subject to credit approval. Your terms may vary. Payment options through Wisetack are provided by our lending partners. Offers range from 0% to 35.9% APR based on amount requested and creditworthiness. Not all merchants and lenders participate in 0% interest programs. State interest rate caps may apply. No prepaid finance charges or participation fees.

Amounts and available terms depend on the project, merchant program and participating lender. Review Wisetack’s current consumer terms (opens in a new tab).

Home improvements & resilience

Carolina SURE

Another financing path for qualifying home improvements

Carolina SURE, from the Clean Energy Fund of the Carolinas, finances eligible home improvements. Certain roofing and wind-resilience projects may qualify, including work through its FORTIFIED Roof Loan program.

Eligible homeowners
Available for qualifying homes in North Carolina and South Carolina.
No minimum credit score
Income, payment history and other underwriting requirements still matter. Approval is not automatic.
FORTIFIED roof financing
A dedicated program supports qualifying FORTIFIED upgrades and certain remaining costs after eligible grants.
An established provider path
RGR is listed in the Carolina SURE contractor network (opens in a new tab).

Eligibility, underwriting, approval, eligible work and final loan terms are determined by the applicable Carolina SURE lender or program administrator. Rates, fees and requirements can change. Review current provider disclosures and your actual offer before proceeding.

The provider application identifies SELF as the nonprofit lender handling underwriting and servicing. Tell the program team that you are planning your project with RGR.

FORTIFIED roof financing

Financing built around a stronger roof

Carolina SURE’s FORTIFIED Roof Loan can support eligible upgrades for qualifying homeowners in North and South Carolina.

Current program maximumUp to $50,000

Subject to project eligibility, underwriting and approval. This is a program limit, not an approved amount for every applicant.

Financing alongside an eligible grant

The provider’s current program page describes financing remaining costs after an approved NCIUA/NCJUA Strengthen Your Roof, Strengthen Your Coastal Roof or Stronger Roof grant. Grant approval and loan approval are separate; the program requests the grant approval letter.

If a NCIUA/NCJUA grant was denied for foundation-related reasons, Carolina SURE identifies a possible loan path for foundation upgrades. The program must confirm the property and work are eligible.

RGR performs the approved construction work. A FORTIFIED Evaluator documents the project for IBHS review; IBHS issues the designation when requirements are met.

Financing FAQs

Can I pay for my project over time?
Yes. RGR provides access to third-party financing paths through Wisetack and Carolina SURE for eligible projects. The applicable financing provider or lender determines approval and terms. RGR is the contractor, not the lender.
Can I check my Wisetack options without affecting my credit score?
Yes. Wisetack uses a soft inquiry to check eligibility, so checking your options does not affect your credit score. Accepting a financing offer can affect credit, and repayment behavior can affect credit as well. Eligibility checking does not guarantee approval.
Can I use Wisetack for repairs or remodeling?
Eligible roofing, repair, remodeling and construction projects may qualify. RGR can help define the work; available financing depends on the project amount, RGR’s merchant program, the participating lender and the applicant. Review the actual options presented through RGR’s Wisetack link.
What is Carolina SURE, and who provides the loan?
Carolina SURE is a Clean Energy Fund of the Carolinas program for qualifying home improvements, including eligible roofing and wind-resilience work. The customer application identifies Solar and Energy Loan Fund (SELF) as the nonprofit lender responsible for underwriting and loan servicing. RGR is listed in the program’s contractor network.
Can I use Carolina SURE for a FORTIFIED roof?
Yes, its current FORTIFIED Roof Loan program supports qualifying upgrades in North and South Carolina, with a published program maximum of $50,000. The approved amount depends on the applicant and project. RGR performs the approved construction; a FORTIFIED Evaluator documents the work and IBHS determines whether to issue the designation.
Can I apply for Carolina SURE if my credit score is low?
The current program does not require a minimum credit score. Applicants still need to satisfy ownership, payment-history, income and other underwriting requirements. No minimum score does not mean no credit review or automatic approval.
Can I use financing to cover costs left after a FORTIFIED grant?
Carolina SURE’s current FORTIFIED program describes financing the remaining eligible cost after an approved Strengthen Your Roof, Strengthen Your Coastal Roof or Stronger Roof grant. The provider requests the grant approval letter. Grant eligibility and financing approval are separate decisions; the program must confirm the remaining scope and costs qualify.
Does RGR decide my loan approval or interest rate?
No. The applicable financing provider or lender determines eligibility, underwriting, approval, rates, fees and final terms. RGR reviews the construction scope and coordinates the approved project.
Can I pay my financing off early?
Wisetack: its current consumer guidance states there is no prepayment penalty. Carolina SURE: its published consumer FAQ also states there is no prepayment penalty. Review the terms of your own agreement with the relevant provider before accepting financing or arranging repayment.
